The Tonsina is a 25 mile run with some Class III+ rapids with easy road side access.  The put in is at the bridge on the Richardson Highway (MP 73).  The take out is at the bridge on the Edgerton Highway (about mile 19).  Be sure to watch out for a river wide log jam on the lower section prior to the take out. I don't know if it's still there, but if it is, it will require a portage.

10.0 Low (III), 11.0 Medium (III+), 13.0 High (IV)
