Greetings from Alaska! I'm Ted Coats and this is my Alaska Whitewater Rafting Page. Being an Air Traffic Controller, husband and father, I know the importance of stress relief. Warning! Whitewater activity in Alaska is Cold! But it is FUN if you are prepared for it. When whitewater rafting in Alaska, a drysuit or thick wetsuit IS A MUST! (Along with a helmet and lifejacket, of coarse.) When rafting these whitewater rivers, be sure to wear these items. The best commercial companies have them (even drysuits). Be sure your outfitter does! Even a short swim in Alaska's rivers can ruin your day if you're not ready for it. Hypothermia is a real KILLER!
